SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY
As KRSC has grown and matured so has its Safety Programs. The construction industry has continued to demand the very best of training and education and KRSC safety programs have grown with these expectations. KRSC relies on many resources to improve, develop, and create new programs to compliment those that are in place. These education and training programs include:
- Trenching and Excavation Training
- Competent person training
- Permit / Non-Permit confined space entry
- Hazardous Communication
- Fleet Safety
- Lock-out / Tag-out
- OSHA 10-30 Training
- Respiration Safety

Federal, State and local governments, as well as clients or customers, continuously require better safety programs. KRSC has met or exceeded all requirements placed on the construction industry and will continue to always do so in the future. Our company has placed a high priority on integrating these safety programs into all areas of our company. KRSC provides education and training for new and current employees. Outside training resources are also utilized to compliment the in-house training. These outside resources include:

KRSC rewards employees when specific safety goals are met through safety incentive programs. We continuously look for ways to share the advantages of creating a safe working environment. Through the concerted efforts of all employees within our company we have received the following safety awards:
- 2008 KRSC received AGC (Association of General Contractors of America) excellent safety record for 25% below division incident in the Municipal-Utility Division.
- 2007 KRSC received CCA (Colorado Contractors Association) award for "zero incident rate".
- 2007 KRSC received CCA (Colorado Contractors Association) "Best Overall Safety Performance" for Group 3.
- 2006 KRSC received AGC excellent safety record for 25% below division incident in the Municipal-Utility Division.
- 2006 KRSC received CCA (Colorado Contractors Association) award for "zero incident rate".
- 2005 KRSC received CCA (Colorado Contractors Association) award for "zero incident rate".
- 2005 KRSC received the William H. Feather Safety Award honorable mention certificate for commendable achievement in the field of construction.
- 2004 KRSC received CCA (Colorado Contractors Association) award for "zero incident rate".
- 2004 KRSC received AGC "Safety Excellence Award (CSEA)" first place award for our division.
- 2004 KRSC’s employee Kenny McDowell received AGC "Supervisor of the Year" award.
